It’s
Time to Tell the World!
By Tony Herreth
State Program Director
Your council has worked hard for the past 10 months, proving to the
church and community that the Knights of Columbus is a giving, caring
organization. But the organization goes beyond the church and community.
The organization is worldwide. It is time to tell the world about the
achievements of your council.
I am writing you during April, anticipating that you will receive this
report before the convention in May. After the convention, your council
will be extremely busy with officer elections, installations, and recruiting
new members to meet your goal for the Star Council award. You are so
busy, in fact, that you may forget about submitting Form SP7, the Columbian
Award application before June 30.
Don’t laugh. The SP7 application was forgotten or submitted late
by many councils last year, disqualifying them from receiving the Star
Council Award.
Brothers, your members deserve to be recognized by Knights worldwide.
Don’t let this honor slip past because one person failed to file
the paperwork. It is not too early to submit the Columbian Award application.
The final date accepted by Supreme is June 30.
The State Convention promises to be a great time in Corpus Christi. I
look forward to visiting with you. Until we meet again,
Vivat Jesus !!
